Metaphysik des absoluten Geschehens

Eine systematische Interpretation des Zusammenhangs der Geschichtlichkeit, des Denkens und der ‚Realität’ bei Heidegger und Hegel

Anton Sverdlikov

Abstract

Metaphysik des absoluten Geschehens (Metaphysics of the Absolute Event), a revised version of the author’s Wuppertal dissertation (2023), develops an original phenomenological metaphysics of the absolute event. Bringing Hegel’s speculative philosophy into dialogue with the later Heidegger’s thinking of the event, above all in the Contributions, and drawing on Eugen Fink’s phenomenological cosmology, it interprets Heidegger’s being as a non-totalizing, non-necessitarian Absolute. It addresses key questions of post-Kantian metaphysics: the Absolute, historicity, the belonging of thought to reality, the one and the many, and the philosophy of nature. The book offers a deliberately heterodox, broadly realist reading of Heidegger and Hegel, with speculative materialism (Badiou, Meillassoux, Grant) as its wider horizon. Though grounded in close engagement with both thinkers, it is primarily a systematic rather than a historical contribution to contemporary metaphysics.
